In 2024, in the lead-up to the Winter Olympics in Milan, Dutch speed skating champion Jutta Leerdam decided to start her own team, sparking a lot of discussion.
As the new sponsor of this team, Odido wanted a campaign that showed that even those who choose their own path still need support. Through previously unseen archival footage, alternated with powerful shots of Jutta, we show how she shapes her career on her own terms. As an athlete and as a human being… But she couldn’t do it without the unconditional support of the people around her, including her father, who narrates the commercial.
After Jutta skated to an extraordinary gold in Milan, claiming the medal with a new Olympic record, the commercial was adapted and went live within 24 hours to reflect her incredible achievement. Footage from that unforgettable race was woven into the film, capturing not only her performance on the ice but also the powerful moment she received her gold medal after all that hard work.
