The Vegetarian Butcher brings together vegans and carnivores in new social dating experiment. Will they be ‘soulmeats’?

The Unthinkable Date went live during Valentine’s day. The Vegetarian Butcher has enlisted the hearts of six singletons to take part in a social experiment to see if sparks fly over dinner. The catch? Unbeknownst to them, they have been matched based on compatibility bar, one key difference – one is a keen vegan, and the other is a committed carnivore.

Dietary choices are becoming an increasingly important lifestyle consideration, especially when looking for love.

Helping lonely-hearts meet like-minded lovers that likely would have been swiped left on. The Vegetarian Butcher conducted this social experiment by matching singles on their personality, interests, and what they were looking for in a partner. There was just one thing not shared with the singletons – the fact that they were being matched with someone with opposing dietary preferences.

Serving up a meaty menu – secretly using only its plant-based meat products – in a line-up of pleasurable dishes to prove that we can meet in the middle with a plant-based butcher’s range – to show that we have more in common than what sets us apart.
