Program Director (NL)
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Company: TBWANEBOKO Amsterdam
About TBWANEBOKO Amsterdam:
TBWANEBOKO is the Amsterdam-based member of the network, blending daring strategic thinking, sharp craft and collaborative production to deliver culturally relevant work that drives business results. We apply Disruption® across strategy and creative: we map market conventions, find the tensions brands can own, and build bold, defensible creative territories that scale across channels.
Job Summary:
As Program Director, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery and profitability of projects across your Co-Lab. Your focus is on making sure ambitious creative work is delivered with clarity, efficiency and strong commercial performance.
Working closely with the Co-Lab Steering Team across Account, Strategy and Creative, you’ll create the conditions for teams to succeed. You’ll bring structure to complex projects, anticipate risks before they become problems and ensure teams deliver on time, on budget and above expectation.
You’ll also work across accounts, partnering with fellow Program Directors and the Resource Manager to identify shared challenges, improve ways of working and keep projects moving in the right direction.
About You:
You’re a hands-on leader with a strong sense of ownership. You know how to bring structure to complexity, make clear decisions and keep people focused when pressure is high.
You’re commercially sharp without losing sight of the work. You understand how scopes, budgets, timelines and resources connect, and you’re comfortable challenging teams when something needs to change.
You collaborate naturally across disciplines, but you’re decisive when clarity is needed. Most importantly, you create the structure and confidence that allows other people to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end project delivery and profitability across projects within your Co-Lab.
- Oversee the Account teams’ translation of client needs into clear project scopes, budgets and timelines.
- Anticipate project risks and solve problems before they impact delivery.
- Drive alignment across the Co-Lab Steering Team and create clarity around priorities, responsibilities and decisions.
- Track commercial performance and flag risks and opportunities to the Steering Team.
- Provide structure and guidance to project teams, enabling them to deliver their strongest work.
- Partner with other Program Directors and the Resource Manager to identify potential challenges across accounts and solve them together.
- Help teams continuously improve how they work across disciplines and projects.
Must-have Qualifications:
- At least 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong understanding of the creative industry and how integrated agency teams operate.
- Deep experience managing budgets, scopes, timelines and resourcing.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence taking financial accountability.
- Proven experience in project governance, risk management and structured problem-solving.
- Ability to drive new ways of working across multiple teams or departments.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to see how decisions across projects, people and resources affect the wider business.
- Preferably, a proven track record delivering complex, multi-channel campaigns and large-scale projects.
